On Sunday 16th Aug,Tyneside Loipers will be hosting the final event of the Northern Roll series. We look forward to welcoming rollerskiers from the other Northern clubs for another fun day on our lovely cycle track at Summerhill Country Park on the edge of Hartlepool.
Actually two rollerski challenge events on the same day. The first race will be a sprint race (run in heats) covering a single-lap of the twisty 750m track. The second race is the one-hour challenge to find how many laps can be covered in 60 minutes. Open to all rollerskiers with at least two-star ability. The top challengers will be covering well over twenty laps within the hour. Lesser mortals can either keep going for the hour, or stop and start as they please.
Both events will be classic style skiing only (no skating) using rollerskis with ratchets. Follow this link to enter.
